Curren$y’s latest mixtape

7 01 2011

2011 has already been a very productive year music wise so far.

The first mixtape of the year was called Return to the Winner’s Circle by Curren$y. This man has to be the most productive musician ever. Mixtapes are endless just like his inspiration. Here’s the cover:

If you click this link you can download it for free at Datpiff.com. If you haven’t heard of or used this website before, it’s a fantastic resource for finding mixtapes.

Here’s my favorite track from it so far:

Definetly ge this mixtape, blaze a fat one before and enjoy it.

Some good tunes

6 01 2011

I just got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday so I haven’t been able to smoke but I’ve been on a lot of Vicodin. It’s an intersting experience, and of course I’ve still been taking weed pills.

Here’s a few youtube links of music I’ve been enjoying:

Damian is my favorite of the Marley brothers. Having seen most of them live, I have to say Damian is the most fun and as a bigger fan of hip hop I do enjoy his tunes.

A good song, witha  dope Chasing Shadows remix:

And my latest most played by Curren$y from Pilot Talk II:

Pilot Talk 2 Album Review

29 11 2010

Curren$y is on a roll these days. He just finished judging the worlds finest strains of marijuana and the best made hash. Yes that’s right, he was at the Cannabis Cup and potentially the last one. High Times recently tweeted that he was one of the best judges and knew his weed strains. His performance there was supposed to be one of the best. This is only the tip of the iceberg to how he has everything going for him. Rumor has it that Pilot Talk III is already recorded and sitting on the maestro’s laptop. Gossip and all aside though, I’m just grateful he dropped such a great album so recently after the last one this summer. I didn’t think Pilot Talk could get much better, but Pilot Talk II is the shit.

In youtube, these are the two stand outs for me right now:

The tracklist is as follows, with my personal grade for each song:

01 Airborne Aquarium 4/5
02 Michael Knight 5/5
03 Montreux 5/5
04 Famous 5/5
05 Flight Briefing 3/5
06 A Gee 4/5
07 Real Estates 5/5
08 Silence 4/5
09 Hold On 4/5
10 Fashionably Late 5/5
11 Highed Up 5/5
12 O.G… (The Jar) 6/5
13 Michael Knight (rmx) 5/5

The guest features on this album are dope, with the standout of course being Raekwon who I’m glad is upping his standards and not doing more shit with Bieber. Curren$y really mixes everything together and just makes for the perfect album to smoke and do anything to. It becomes the perfect medley that captures a spliff’s activities in an album, let it be sitting on the sofa to doing laundry to going to the gym.

If you haven’t bought you’re copy, you don’t know what Pilot Talk II really is. Apparently Pilot Talk II hooked up with Snooki and still didn’t give a fuck. #PilotTalk2

Don’t you wanna Marijuana?

11 11 2010

Some words are just fun to say. Marijuana is one of them.

If you only had to turn your life into a month, what would your favorite 30 days be of them all?

I  recently started watching Community. Great show, and great women.

I have a small feeling this song is going to blow up huge!

Beauty in chemistry.

Sunday evenings become monday mornings

8 11 2010

A preview of what’s about to come. I had Pilot Talk the day it dropped and it’s been playing daily since then. It’s a great excitement that part 2 is already dropping. This is going to be big. Michael Knight sets the tone well. Here’s the official video for that:

Just discovered this song when truly sitting down to listen to Rusko’s last album. This is the biggest stand out for me, since I am a huge Gucci Mane fan. Love him.

Peep that new Devin the Dude album too. Good stuff on there, my favorite being Jus Coolin so far. It’s a mellow album, though Devin is often very repetitive for me, I do love smoking with him in the background.
Here’s a few fun shots from the weekend:

This is what a Friday night with bro’s looks like. Great discovery of the “Raging Bitch” beer with a bottle designed by Ralph Steadman, Hunter S Thompson’s artist and friend. A delicious beer that transports you to a land of fear and loathing.

This bad boy here was an eight all to himself. I love nuggies like that.

And slowly he gets trimmed down to this.

This last bud was a great new discovery. It’s a strain called Red Dragon. It’s a very sneaky high, strong but doesn’t hit right away. You feel stoned when you move around, but if you sit too long, the high seems to evade but just then when you get up it comes back. I’ve been smoking it all day and it’s also been very productive, I’ve gotten multiple chores done on it. The best part though is it’s longevity.

On that note, I’m off to watch the new Family Guy.
